Myntra, the largest fashion e-commerce giant in India, serves over 50 million users from metro and tier 2โ3 cities. With its vast reach and influence, Myntra is at the forefront of shaping the online fashion landscape in the country.
Introduction
In the fast-paced world of e-commerce, the user experience plays a pivotal role in shaping customer satisfaction and loyalty. As online shopping continues to evolve, so do the expectations of users seeking seamless, engaging, and interactive platforms. Recognizing the importance of social interaction and collaboration in the shopping journey, Myntra, a leading Indian online clothing store, embarked on a mission to redefine the online shopping experience for its users. This case study delves into the creation and implementation of the "P-P Chat on Myntra" feature, a pioneering initiative aimed at enhancing the social dimension of online shopping. Through this feature, users can engage in real-time conversations and collaborate with friends directly within the Myntra app, transforming the shopping experience into a more interactive and enjoyable endeavor.

Usual Sharing Method

User Goal ๐
- Simplify the process of sharing products and thoughts with friends during online shopping.
- Streamline the collaboration experience by eliminating the need to switch between different messaging apps.
- Enhance the efficiency of sharing and discussing products directly within the chosen online shopping platform, Myntra.

How it was started

In the initial stage wireframe of Myntra's P-P (Peer-to-Peer) Chat feature, the focus was on simplicity and ease of use. The wireframe showcased a clean and intuitive interface integrated seamlessly within the Myntra app. Users could easily access the chat feature from the product page, allowing them to share items and thoughts with their friends effortlessly. The wireframe emphasized real-time communication, enabling users to engage in discussions, provide feedback, and make informed decisions together while browsing the extensive collection of fashion items. With a minimalist design and intuitive navigation, the wireframe laid the foundation for a collaborative and interactive shopping experience within the Myntra ecosystem.
High Fidelity design

1.Home
- Clean and intuitive interface displaying personalized recommendations based on user preferences and browsing history.
- Navigation menu for easy access to different sections of the app.

2.Message Screen

- Quick view feature for a closer look at product details without leaving the listings page.
4.Product Detail Page
- Comprehensive view of product details including images, descriptions, sizes, colors, and pricing.
- Share button for easy sharing of the product with friends via the integrated chat feature or external social media platforms.
- Option to select product variants and quantities.
- "Add to Cart" and "Buy Now" buttons for quick purchase.
5.Share Socials
- Integration with Myntra's built-in chat feature for seamless sharing of products with friends.
- Integration with other popular social media platforms such as Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook, etc.
- Enhances the collaborative shopping experience by facilitating real-time sharing and discussions among friends without leaving the Myntra app.
6.Chat Screen (Dedicated Chat View for One Person)
- Dedicated chat interface for one-on-one conversations with a friend.
- Multimedia support for sending images.
- Real-time message delivery and read receipts.
- Product card share option within the chat interface, allowing users to quickly share product details with their friend without leaving the conversation.
7.Photo Search Results Screen
- Accessible through the chat screen when a photo is shared.
- Displays search results related to the shared photo, such as similar products or related images.
